VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTER

Since opening its doors in 2013, the DFFAF Vocational Training Center in Aleltu, Ethiopia provides specialized curricula with multi-year, certified programs for secondary school-aged students in garment design, sewing, basic computer knowledge, and technology training.  Our students graduate from the program with a minimum of 2 professional technical skills, setting them up for the opportunity to successfully begin and lead a personal business.

All necessary fees to attend, participate, and complete the programs are fully covered by DFFAF.  In 2021, we funded an entire technology upgrade for the center.

We are currently researching for a second training center location.

SECOND VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTER

While we continue to support the DFFAF training center in Aleltu, Ethiopia, we have begun researching and developing a plan to expand and build second facility.  This will allow us to expand our reach in the region and further our impact across Africa.

Our Impact

INDEPENDENCE FOR WOMEN WITH HIV

In 2018, DFFAF began creating resilience for women affected by HIV and AIDS by improving the quality of their lives through building knowledge, skills, resiliency, self sufficiency, and improved, sustainable financial conditions.

Additionally, DFFAF is helping the children of these women attend school by fulfilling their major needs for education and assisting unemployed or underemployed family members by giving them access to employment opportunities.
